Philanthropy

Philanthropy is an extremely important part of life at Alpha Kappa. We encourage all members to participate in numerous philanthropic events. Doing such events not only helps to build brotherhood, but it is also necessary to be a productive member of the community. One of the greatest experiences in life is helping others, and we feel our philanthropy service does just that.  Kappa Alpha's main beneficiary nationally is the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Here at Mizzou, our philanthropy is the KA Crimson Rose Bowl. It is a 6 on 6 powder puff football game that is anticipated to be well attended by numerous sororities on campus, on October 2. The KA Crimson Rose Bowl consists of a Queen interview, a serenade, a money vote, t-shirt sales, and the football tournament itself. Everyone dresses up in KA/football gear and watches a wealth of beautiful Mizzou women enjoy a nice, relaxing game of powder puff pigskin .

Alpha Kappa hosted a very successful philanthropy in 2009, raising over $1,500 for MDA! The KA Crimson Rose Bowl was a success in its first year and is looking forward to growing in sponsorship and participation in the coming years!
